Due to popular demand, the Winter Native Seed Propagation workshop is sold out!
If you were unable to sign up, do not fret...be on the lookout for the Spring Native Seed Propagation & Seedling Success workshop at the end of April!

In this hands on demonstration class, join Emily Rauch, our Native Plant Program Manager, to learn how to stratify and winter sow native seeds. During the workshop you will discuss terminology and learn about different methods to use.

Everyone will leave with seed stratifying material (including local-ecotype seeds) and a full tray of planted seeds.

Come prepared to get your hands dirty- we will be propagating seeds of several species of native plants!
*Space is limited, so don't miss your chance, sign up today!*

January 8th from 10am - 12pm
$40 per person

Emily Rauch is our Native Plant Program manager with over 15 years of gardening experience including the Connecticut Master Gardener program. She holds a certificate in Plant Production and Greenhouse Management from the New York Botanical Garden horticulture program and is currently working her way through their Botany tract as well. At both Scalzi Riverwalk and Pound Ridge Land Conservancy she worked on restoring local nature preserves by removing invasive species and growing native plant material as replacements.
