Homeschool at the Farm: Compost and Sustainability
This homeschool-specific program will introduce students to the sustainable processes at work on our organic farm as summer peaks, focusing on our mission as a farm to “develop and advance sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship”. Through hands-on field work, meeting animals and plants in the fields and greenhouses, and examining the farm infrastructure, we’ll get up close and personal with the ways Hilltop focuses on sustainable and regenerative cycles of growing and food production. As usual, we’ll put our energy to work in the soil, all through the lens of sustainability and stewardship. Our programs are designed to supplement science and environmental education standards, and students will discover these concepts for themselves as we explore spring at Hilltop Hanover. Part of our monthly homeschool programs at Hilltop!
