July Community Farm Work Day - Garlic Harvest
Join us for the July Community Farm Work Day - Garlic Harvest at Hilltop Hanover Farm in Yorktown Heights, NY, USA. Get your hands dirty and help us with the garlic harvest! It's a fun day out in the sun, working together with fellow community members to support our local farm. No experience necessary, just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Community Work Days occur one weekend day a month, and involve bigger projects on the farm that go quickly with more hands to help! All ages and abilities are welcome. Stay for as long or as little as you would like, but we recommend joining in the first half as we may finish ahead of schedule. Registration is not required, but it is helpful to know to expect you.
We will meet in front of the Volunteer Office; if you arrive late, please see the whiteboard there for directions on where to go for the activity. All supplies will be provided.
Please come prepared for the day:
Bring a refillable water bottle, wear sturdy closed toe shoes, dress for the weather. Don't forget sunscreen and bug spray, even on cloudy days.
