Homeschool at the Farm: Late Summer
This homeschool-specific program will introduce students to the processes at work on our organic farm as the heat of summer begins to wane, and will include lots of learning in the dirt! Through hands-on field work, meeting animals and plants in the fields and greenhouses, and a visit to the historic farm buildings, we’ll get up close and personal with the cycles of growing and food production, learn about history, and put our energy to work in the soil, all through the lens of sustainability and stewardship. Our programs are designed to supplement science and environmental education standards, and students will discover these concepts for themselves as we explore the farm.
