You will receive an email confirmation with details of the shift, and a reminder leading up to it. 

Winter volunteer opportunities will take place both outdoors as weather permits. Fill out your Volunteer Application to receive bi-weekly emails with details of the upcoming shifts.

  • Farm Assistance tasks- Outdoors, in the field and beyond!
    • Winter Tasks sessions include: outdoor tasks such as cutting and removing invasives, keeping the hiking trails free of debris and fallen branches, and general cleaning around the farm and fields. One-off projects will be offered as they arise, and advertised in the weekly emails. 
    • Community Farm Work Day sessions include: many hands that make bigger farm tasks fly by, with all ages welcome to join.
    • Gleaning - Harvesting for Donation sessions include: harvesting approx. once a month from the High Tunnel building. 
    • Native Plant Work: during the winter months, help with seed cleaning or general tidying up of materials and spaces. 

Upcoming Seasonal activities include:

  • Farm Assistance such as-
    • Spring/Summer/Fall seasonal tasks: help in the growing field and beyond to keep our plants thriving.
    • Field Weeds: weed by hand and with tools in the growing fields.
    • Native Plant Work: work with the native plant living seed bank, weeding, mulching, seed harvesting and more. 
    • Field Harvest: work down the field beds and harvest ripe produce. 
    • Trail Clearing: clear, maintain, and improve the hiking trails. 
  • Farm Stand tasks such as-
    • Wash + Pack: weigh, sort, and bag produce as it arrives from the fields. 
    • Stock Help: refill bins and shelves with stock, assist customers, and talk vegetables and plants.
