*Postponed Indefinitely* Using Ecotypes in the Landscape & Gardening in Autumn
Join Hilltop Hanover Farm’s Native Plant Program Manager, Emily Rauch, in this hands-on gardening workshop.
In a brief PowerPoint and classroom discussion, you’ll learn what local ecotypic plants are and all the benefits they add to your garden including how they foster healthy ecosystems and increase biodiversity in your yard. Best practices for sustainable gardening will be discussed including how to manage your garden in Autumn. The workshop will then move outside for a hands-on demonstration showing how to prepare a native plant garden bed in fall so that you can enjoy your native plants early next season. You will get your hands dirty by helping plant a new garden bed at Hilltop using our very own local ecotype plants!
